Teen Caught On Camera Hurling Small Kitten Into Lake, Then Policemen Show Up To Deliver Justice

Social media is sometimes useful when it results bringing someone to justice. A video posted by Garret Haile, 18, a California student at Patterson High School went viral last year. The video shows him throwing a weak kitten into a lake. When the video was posted he was underage. However, He was arrested this past week with animal cruelty.

Many people were distressed by Haile’s actions and it is unknown whether the kitten alive. The video was shared by thousands of people and it is something that needed to be seen, so Haile can pay for actions. So, people called the local police department, notifying them of the existence of the disturbing post and the person responsible and they received tips identifying Haile, as a result he was arrested. This was a great model of the public’s combined effort between them and us via social media, said Jeff Dirkse, Patterson Police Services. Watch the video above to have more information.
