Nino Survives After Being Left In Memphis Backyard For Three Months Without Any Food; Parent arrested!
Our hearts break and our blood boil, when we hear stories of animal neglect and abuse. There is never any justice, often times. Happily — in this story, the owner who roughly mistreated a dog was caught as well as apprehended.
In Memphis, the animal services Tennessee drew a call about a dog being preserved in a backyard. Seemingly, for a notable amount of time, the dog had been outside as well as handcuffed. Instantly, they went to inspect on the condition. The animal services were in complete trauma when they arrived at the home and saw the situation of the dog. They were totally harmful. Nino, _the dog, was beyond belief emaciated, in a very terrible situation. What’s worse still is that the owner of the dog informed them
that he had been away for three months and never made adaptations for anybody to look after the dog, when they went to speak with him and this was unreasonable.
Entirely stunned, the animal rescue team informed they had to get this dog to the animal hospital instantly. It was only a case of time before lovely Nino wouldn’t have the vigor to carry on.
Nino's emaciated body once again shocked everyone that saw him, when he was brought into the animal medical center.
"Nino is a skeleton with skin on him and is fortuitous to be alive today. When you talk about Nino we talk about the worst level of starvation,” the director of Memphis Animal Services, Alexis Pugh, told a Memphis news station.
Nino was being fed by the vet staff to nurse and try him back to health. For at least three months, he hadn’t had a real meal therefore, it was going to be a long road to recovery for this destitute dog.
The doctors assumed this sweet boy survived on his own feces or dead animals in the backyard. It’s definitely maddening and distressing to think that someone could do this to a dog.
The owner now faces crime charges after the police had arrested him.
Kellen Jones is the owner’s name and he is 27-years-old; he appeared to lack any sympathy whatsoever when he was arrested for such terrible disregard. That's what makes us completely shocked and saddened.
"I’d been away three months, and I’d made no arrangements to have the dog cared for” Pugh said. "The owner of Nino was unaware of his legal obligations and very forthcoming with these details.”
